This site has been designed to showcase motor racing of the ‘HQ’ Holden Category. ‘HQ’ Holden racing, as a registered CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motorsport) category, has now been racing for over 20 Years and still going strong. ‘HQ’ Racing is a heavily regulated category, designed to provide close racing and develop race craft at an affordable price. In fact, our Association’s moto is: “Affordable Excitement”…
The HQ class of racing, is a one make series based on the HQ Holden, 202, 3 speed, 4 door sedan with front disc brakes as produced by GMH between 1971 and 1974. The class has been designed to produce close racing at a minimum cost.
Thinking About Racing HQs it’s… “affordable excitement!” It may be easy to drive a fast car quickly, but driving a nearly standard HQ Kingswood, complete with 3.3 Litre 6 cylinder and 3 speed manual, now that’s a challenge!
To comply with the rules of the HQRA and in accordance with the Technical Regulations of the Class as expressed in the CAMS Manual and the HQRA Technical Manual, the following persons have been nominated to the HQRA
